Lala's Wine Bar Live Music Wine Tasting Wine Classes The owners of Govnr’s Park, Paramount Cafe, Marlowe’s and Caldonia’s bring a new concept to Denver in the form of an upscale yet casual wine bar and pizzeria called Lala’s Wine Bar + Pizzeria. The idea was derived from the owner’s experiences in Italy where the pizzerias are filled with strangers sharing tables and great bottles of wine with each other. The pizzeria concept itself is great, but it’s the social aspect of the pizzeria that has been the inspiration of this endeavor. With Chef Eric Rivera and Sous Chef Victor Leal putting together a menu with an average price point of $9, 42 wines available by the glass utilizing a state of the art wine tap system which is the first of its kind in Colorado and another 50 wines available by the bottle, Lala’s Wine Bar + Pizzeria is destined to be the next big thing in Denver.

Every aspect of the restaurant has been scrutinized and hand chosen for its uniqueness, quality and fit. From the Peroni beer tap, which was specially imported from Italy and is the first of its kind in the U.S., to the ingredients going into the food like the Peppadew peppers which are imported from South Africa instead of traditional red peppers, to the somewhat obscure back bar hosting high quality, small batch, organic, and even some local spirits, one thing is obvious: “Nobody does this” V.G.

Lala’s Wine Bar + Pizzeria has been the pet project of Darren Minich, Mike Plancarte and the rest of the owners who have worked in, purchased and run locally owned independent restaurants in Denver for over 20 years. It has been described as the culmination of their dreams and ambitions. Taking over ownership of existing restaurants was the opportunity of a lifetime, but building one from scratch has been a lifelong dream. Being able to build upon the successes of our restaurants and take different aspects from each, blending them into a new concept has been an incredible experience, and we look forward to sharing that experience with our friends, family, neighbors and guests.
